Hi guys,
I'd like to enter the Design Competition, but I don't have the May issue of CB. Could anyone tell me where to find the full details for the competition?

Thanks

OK, I've got the rules (more or less).

But, anyway, is there anyone around here who is entering the competition?
Would you like to comment anything about it?

We've got the first couple of entries and it looks good, except that someone obviously can't decide whether the Yanmar 10 would go best in a sailboat or a fishing craft and so drew both! Great, all the more for the judges to consider.
You know the engine people did supply us with packs of installation details if you want them; just contact us and we'll send you the pack. You have until the 31st August now; we realised it wasn't enough time, but only after May had gone. This competition isn't only open to draughtsmen by the way, anyone with an eye can draw a boat, and we do say we are interested in concepts as much as accurate drawings.
Keep 'em coming.

I hope I've got enought time for my project as well. I've never designed a Classic Boat, but I really want to try. Specially since I was talking with a friend a few days ago, about designing and building one by ourselves.

I've got a simple question: how accurate does the design need to be?

Also, you said that someone sent two entries; what about an entry of one design by two persons?

About the engine pack, should I send a SAE to get one? In the pack, do we get details like center of gravity and so on?

Thanks for your help, and hope to be sending my results on time :-)
