Heading to Santa Marta next week, been told to complete this check-mig before arrival but it doesn't work when you click Maritime, the entry port list is never populated, been trying this for weeks.

Pre Registro Web

No response from emailing everybody and anybody. The visa shops online say they can do it but flight only.

What to do? Turn up in Santa Marta anyway? They've not been the most helpful to be honest, responses are sporadic despite sending all paperwork requested. And it's expensive to get in and stay for 11 nights!

That website is quite broken/unfinished. Only the air travel part actually works (sometimes). Since the people on the ground probably know this, I'd fill it out for a private flight (Santa Marta is on that list) and tell them on arrival that you did the best you could with what they provided. It's probably fine, but no guarantee! :)

We were there 3(I think) years ago and it could all be arranged at the marina when you arrived for a very small fee. We stayed for a month and caught a bus to Cartagena instead of taking the boat there. The hike to the lost city is well worth it if you've got 4 days to spare! Enjoy.

Ok, I had a reply from migration in Colombia, and it confirms check-mig is only valid for arrival bt aeroplane!

Mystery solved, why Marina Santa Marta asked me to complete it before arrival I've no idea!

And yes, bus to minca for a night, and 3 nights in cartagena by marsol bus.

Where did you arrive from? Where are you going next? I may be spending significant time in Santa Marta over the next few years so would be interested in any local sailing knowledge!!!
