Cold air on its way here

It seems to have arrived in the far south west already. Temp at the moment in East Cornwall is 7.5 whereas yesterday at this time it was 11.5

This is just Bloody Typical! The first time I go back to England at this time of the year to work on the boat for a week (flying in this Tuesday, 20th March) I head right into a cold front. I havn't experienced this sort of cold for over 10 years now.

Antifouling, anodes and varnishing are top of the agenda but in such cold conditions I know I am going to hate it - but loathe would be a better description. We are sleeping on the boat (which is out of the water at QuayLane, Gosport) as well. My nose is going to be permamently runny and a deep crimson/blue in colour. My hands are going to be freezing - let's go no further!

Call me a wimp, because I am when it comes to the cold. Is Michael Fish responsible for this cold spell?

On a more positive note, at least my plastic bottles of cheap supermarket cider are going to be well chilled and I shall allow myself at least 2 curry takeaways.
