Cockpit enclosure

As the temperature drops, and you're still sitting in the cockpit, watching the sunset with a nice glass of something, while everyone else in the anchorage is retreating below, how much do you care about the aesthetics of your boat?
What's wrong with sitting in a warm bar with a nice glass of something watching the sun set on your cold boat? :)

Actually we had a cockpit tent on our centre cockpit Moody that was a fab extra room in harbour for all the weather could chuck at us.

Nothing, if we're not boating, but I tend to do my watching sunsets with a glass of something nice in a quiet anchorage. The nearest bar is a dinghy ride and a good walk away.

We could leave the judgement to all those who have drowned getting back on board having failed to stick to "just the one..."!
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. Nor will they be around to condemn us for a quick pint after a day out.

Would not be without our cockpit tent which has detachable side panels -on our last boat it was a complete tent over a frame which worked but not that flexible to use due to rigging frame etc but now on second boat we can take out panels we often motor or sail downwind with just the top in place much like a Bimini top . If I was modifying /buying again I would have some form of transparent windows in roof maybe with a cover but otherwise works well even without having mesh screen inserts .
