Cockpit Coaming box

I found my leak, it is the box in the Coaming.
Anybody seen a UK source for these.?
The ones I have found are mostly in the US.!
My aperture is 13”x6” so, preferably slightly bigger than that.

I would be surprised if you get one off the shelf, they're mostly custom parts.

Very easy to make from a piece of teak, just a holesaw and jigsaw required and some sandpaper to finish off.
Hopefully you can an offcut large enough to do it as Teak is pretty expensive now. Or alternatively use Iroko.

Oh, I assumed that was part of the boats cockpit layup.

I bought a plastic coaming box a few years ago - can't remember the brand but I think it was Italian. No wood in it, like a top hat on its side, but I did add extra screws as I thought it needed more.

Will it come out ? If so post some pictures here and we will come up with some repair ideas. If it won't come out remove the wood trim and again pictures.

If the cave is GRP, it's infinitely repairable. If it's a plastic that won't glue, it's a mould for a new grp one.

I fitted the 380x280 one to replace a badly made wooden box.

What happens if you undo the screws in the wood facia, does the box come away from the coming. Is the leak between on the joint between the locker and the coming. A lot of boats have a small drain pipe which allows water in the cave locker to drain out into the cockpit. The GPR should be easy enough to repair

I am now making a mould to create a fibreglass one.
