Cleat - poor match in size ... how to fit

The 30mm should slot in OK with the rounded top ... I hope !!

Is it possible to have a few different angle photos of yours - as I am thinking about the fixing in place ... whether to use the existing 'square holes' or drill new. You use stainless or alloy bolts ?

Sorry, the boat is 120 miles away, and I don't think I have any photos. I drilled three new holes, and used 8mm stainless bolts with stainless backing plates, all laggered up with Duralac.

That'll do .... was only off-chance request ...

I intend to make my vertical side to toe-rail quite long to spread load ...

I would guess that my alloy angle will be about 400mm long, and the cleat about 200mm.

That's a lot more than mine ... the cleats mounting part is 75 - 80mm ...

I intend about 200mm long angle ... the tie-raiul has a slight curve as well so have to be careful not to force it straight.
