Hi can I please ask if there is a specific cleaning agent for Cleaning a Boat hull made from a form of Plastic ? The hull is made from two mouldings , sealed together , so forms , I understand , an Unsinkable boat : Should I just use a standard GRP cleaner , or is that not the way to do it ?

Any and all suggestions most welcome

Might be ABS (many produced by Terhi in Finland)

Ahoy there Mr C D , yes you are right , my boat is a forerunner of the Terhi boats , I understand that Terhi took over the production , (cannot trecall the name of my boat manufacturer untill its light and I can get to it ?) My boat has what appeas to be two ABS shells joined together , with a foam inside the Sandwich ; quite light build , unsinkable I am assured , self draining fitted , fitted Storeage Boxs x 3 , but I need to clean Her up , just to make Her look smarter

Sounds to be ABS. I'd look for products for this material and start mild, then up the game.
Even Youtube may come in handy:

Terhi was once marketed as indestructible. People on shows were given a big hammer and told to make a hole in the hull! Dents but no holes..

Build process:

To prove it was unsinkable they cut a dinghy in two and went off in the halves - separately.
Enjoy the language!

Many years ago - I had a more square design plastic dinghy. It had the same two shells with expanded foam between. The shape was a rectangle with raised bow ... with two keel lines like a cathedral hull.

The plastic had lost small chunks out of the gunhwale in various places - with foam clearly seen.

It was unsinkable ... but a real pig to row ... with small outboard (I had a featherweight Seagull on it) - it was acceptable - but I soon wanted a normal dinghy !!

I sold it and next owner put a larger motor on it and reckoned it was 'lethal' !!
