Thinking about visiting Christchurch at the weekend, have done it before in 225 Searay, remember channel to be very interesting.

Anybody got any advice about possibilities in F43 (1.1mtr Draft) and where one might moor up for a few hours?? Seem to recall very shallow in places. Sorry to ask, have left Reeds on Boat and little info on Christchurch Web Sites, that I have found anyway.

Any advice gratefully received. Paul

You can pick up a vacant bouy in the harbour, subject to having to sod off if the owner returns, obviously. Best ones are right by the ferry landing stage, next to the beach house cafe. Failing that, there's not many places you could take an F43 - there are three visitors bouys opposite Grimbury Point (just up from the sailing club, at the top of the harbour), but you may not have enough depth for a long stay. Otherwise, I suggest you call either Rossiters or Elkins and see if they have any free berths, if you plan to overnight. Give us a buzz if you are coming, though...
