CHOICE OF AWNING

Good morning, has anyone got any knowledge of the Gaastra Arched Cockpit Awning, fixed by 2 inflatable struts and on offer at £189.99 for our size boat. It seems a real deal and it has been brought to my attention by my dear wife who thinks it will be cheaper than having one made. Thanks in anticipation.

I would also be interested as I've just been quoted £800 and £1000 for made to measure sprayhoods for my 24ft sailing boat!

I see they offer both cruising and racing versions - see web page . Am I missing something here?

Indeed strange to have a racing version unless you hold it sideways and use it as a sail

I use a bit of greenhouse netting supported by a couple of horizontal bamboo sticks across the boom. Cost about three quid and takes up very little room in the locker.
