Chentleman\'s Cruise 2005
I have been instructed to inform the assembled readership of the following facts.
The 2005 Chentlemans Cruise will depart Kilmelford Pontoon on the morning of Friday 29th April, returning to this point in the late afternoon of Monday 2nd May.
The organising secretary would appreciate it if members wishing to embark kindly cleared their permissions with spouses before making rash and expensive promises.
There will be a pre-cruise dinner on the evening of Thursday 28th April commencing at approx. 1930 hrs aboard the good yacht Claymore - preceded by lashings of Blue Sapphire on the patio.
The passage plan has not yet been submitted to the relevant authorities but as High Water is at 09:35 on the morning of departure, there is a reasonable chance that the general direction may well be to the South - perhaps offering the opportunity to sample the fine malts of the Isles of Jura and Islay. Then again - we could get up a bit earlier and go North enabling us to get ratarsed in Tobers and have a wee blast oot tae see Tome's mither and help her get settled in.
