Having just returned from "wintering" in Portugal (wow, it is cold and wet here) and having seen there has been frequent discussion on solar panels anyone going to the Algarve area of south Portugal might like to know that solar panels (full range of Shell and BP manufacture mostly) are readily available at about 30-40% less than UK price. (They are even cheaper in Australia I am told but that is really too far! )
There is an excellent supplier in Alczejur (spelling suspect) about 20 miles north of Lagos.

Unfortunately I have left all my paperwork on my boat and I am in UK.
If you are going that way the shop is in Aljezur which having checked is the correct spelling, it is inland NNW of Lagos. The location within this little town is well known to the tourist office etc & you only have to follow the trail of camper vans on their way to pick up panels etc!
If you really need to know more precisely I can (eventually) find out by emailing folk who are in Portimao right now.

F.F. Solar in Aljezur.
Hi Simon, glad you got home safely. Rest of the 'fleet' seem to be doing well. We're back home too. Not a bad winter was it?
