Can those with some electric techo knowledge have a look at the mega-cheap inverter Aldi in the UK are offering this Sunday (see their website Sunday special offers) and say if it is amazing value or don't even think about it?
Probably OK but like anything else the actual performance may not be defined very well. Issues will include
Efficiency: how much power input for how much power output, At low power outputs the power consumed by the inverter in the conversion may be more than the load.
Wave shape: How near to a sinusoid is the voltage, some outputs are square in shape and some loads like TV's won't like running on it.
Power rating: Cheaper units may not run at or near the rated power for long without blowing up or shutting down.
Don't know about the upsidedowner cos I don't understand electricity.
But the micro fibre towels on special at the same time are great for boats, dry body effectively and then dry quickly them selves.
In answer to FC's point if it's any good, and I've no reason to believe it won't be then Aldi are good on refunds if goods are faulty or unsatisfactory, this may not be the case with an E bay seller.
