Just had a customer reduce his boat from £89k to £59k . Thats a huge reduction.
before that it was £99k so its come down a total of 40%

He desperately wants to pay off the finance and get on with moving abroad.

well, at least as much as sign of his personal situation, but I'd agree it suggests that buyers are thin on the ground.

OK,I will be the one to ask the question everybody wants to know.
Is it.....
"A"....a nice sensible and useable proper boat with flybridge and patio doors that you will probably keep for years and years
or
"Z"...one of those chest wig things with a tent on top and bugger all accomodation where you need to remove most of the seating, all the rear sunpads and have to get the dingy out of the garage to even check the oil levels, for the only two weeks of the year that you will use it,then realising what a daft piece of kit you have been lumbered with and going out and buying boat "A" /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

A Merry Winterval to all.

aha, so boat A is for Oldgits, and boat B for people who still have a pulse /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Agree with you. I think £99k or £89k was a bit ambitious to say the least. The owner probably thought he could ask a high Sterling price because Sterling is so cheap against the Euro but obviously that hasn't worked. I have to say that the Sealine 305/310/330/F33 is one of my least favourite boats

Like everything ... a bargain is only true if it really is ... just because a reduction in asking price ? No depends on initial price and whether realistic - which we know with many 2/hand boats is not.

Windy owners finally get a boat that attracts envious looks in the marina.

I quite like the ones that go:

*** SAVE £400k !!! ***

!! Now reduced to £100,000 this boat is a full £400,000 less than something which would cost you £500,000 !!

*** SAVE £400k !!! ***
