Cheap boat sign of the times?

"A"....a nice sensible and useable proper boat with flybridge and patio doors that you will probably keep for years and years

thats the one fred

It's a shame. Saw a fairly new Broom 42 last week lying in a sad state, covered in leaves, as she is now in the charge of a finance company. Spoke to a repuatable dealer I know quite well, who said most of his clients had been buying with minimal finance or cash up to 2005, but since then most of his sales have been to 80% financed boats! Bying cheap is half the story, affording to run and maintain a vessel is the other half.

Very good point. "Stick within your means" - A line I have to take into consideration myself if upgrading to a boat with 2 engines - Am I willing to sacrifice other luxuries for the extra fuel/maintenance costs
