Chart Work help needed

On a chart, what does a # (hash) symbol mean?
Any help appreciated as its for my Day Skipper homework.

Mike, symbol represents centre of primary symbol (There should be text or another symbol to accompany it) You might want to buy Admiralty chart No:5011,which is actually a book of all the symbols and abbreviations used.Good luck with your exam!

The symble means . "The remains of a wreck or other foul area no longer dangerous to serface navigation, but tobe avoided by vessels anchoring . Hope that helps Titch
