What kind of boat do you have and how much do you spend at chandleries each year?
Welcome to the forums. That’s a slightly odd and personal question for a first post?

1. Westerly Sealord
2. I don’t add it up and it depends. (Furthermore Mrs M might read the answer and I’d then have to go into explanations about how everything I’ve bought is ‘an essential safety item’. )

'If one is going to continue to own a boat, then the one thing one cannot afford to have is a clear sense of how much one spends in chandleries each year'

Once apon a time stuff was always cheaper online. Unfortunately much of it proved to be ****p

Now always check the local chandlery price, it frequently will be no worse than the online prices which of course are also bloated with postage and packing.

4 boats :

#1 : 5m Soviet Mobo (Progress 4)
#2 : 5.5m 2 berth sailboat (Kormoran)
#3 : 25ft Motor Sailer (Sunrider 25)
#4 : 38ft Cruiser Racer (Conqubin 38CR)

How much spent in Chandleries ?? Very little in fact - most years near zero. Most purchases are online ... split about 70% from non Chandlery websites. How much in monetary figures - that's private data - sorry.

Bet its a bot.

Bet it isn't.

Newbie2024 - welcome to the forums!

Tell us a little about yourself and why you're asking. My guess at the moment is that you're a student and this question is part of a project or assignment.

Alas, I suspect your biggest learning point will be that it can be difficult to get useful data from a forum of individualists!
