I plan to reline the forecabin this winter and have decided that cedar strip would look nice, but am having problems finding a supplier. Any suggestions?
A few years ago I built a Ceder Strip open canoe it used 1500ft of 1/4 by 3/4
Ceder. The cost of buying in seperate strips was crazy so I bought a Baulk of red ceder from a yard in Rochdale and had it cut into strips at a local joinery shop It cost about £30 for the wood and about £20 to have it cut up.A huge saving.
PS
(Balcotan rapid is an excellent adhesive for gluing ceder)
Good Luck Paul
Robbins were the only supplier I had found, but their prices are not that attractive. Cedar cannot be that expensive, if so cedar strip boats would cost a fortune to build as PaulSmith says above.
