Mylor Yacht Harbour in the Carrick Roads near Falmouth has been much updated and improved recently. Part of the improvement has been the conversion of one of the old buildings into a very nice wine bar that compliments the already excellent Ganges Restaurant (they are owned by the same people). There are lots of pontoons with plenty of water underneath them; the whole area is very clean, very friendly and very helpful - oh and the food, beer and wine is excellent!

was down there in the summer again. yes they have put alot of effort into smartening the whole place up. Castaways would have been excellent if only one of the four meals had been cooked through. And then we had a small disagreement about being expected to pay for some new hot veg to go with the now hot maincourse. just a bad night I think, but seemed very pleasant place.

No things do not change, we had the same problem as you, with the same owner but in the Ganges, but then that was back in the early 1990's. Since then most locals have had a disagreement with Fay, normally end up with I'll never use this place again. Castaways was a Tapas bar last time I looked, probably why rwakeham had small expensive portions.
The Lemon Arms, top of the the Creek, is normally a reliable place for a good meal, the place the locals use.
