Capstan winch

I am looking for a second hand capstan winch.

It is to be used to haul out boats on trailers on sandy beach, say 30' per minute.

Anyone got any leads?

You might be constrained by the motive power source. What are you intending to use ?

Capstan Motor

Hi,

I'm an Industrial Automation Engineer. One of our client has a defective "capstan/winch". The Motor being used has 6 different speed settings (3 Forward and 3 Reverse). However, I'm can't figure out the Logic behind the Electrical system since it's kind of oldish. I'm thinking of using a "Variable Frequency Drive / Frequency Inverter" with 6 Digital inputs. The only thing I'm not sure is will it work with the Capstan Motor like a common AC 3Phase Motor (Fwd/Rev).
