I always wondered why such solution wasn't more widely copied, because it works really well.
Its always been something that I've wondered about because that flip up back window is a really great feature and one of the many things that attracted us to Ferretti in the first place. I think the reason that other builders are copying it now is that they've finally realised that aft galleys are attractive to buyers and of course flip up back windows work really well with an aft galley

Someone told me that Ferretti managed to patent it, but it was also used in the VZ18, and I doubt that Ferretti would have allowed that, if they could restrict VZ from adopting it...
Have you ever heard other theories, PYB?

I heard that they where trying to patent it in the eighties as well (when it was released).
But what you can patent on a swivel up window, the system is simple and works a dream.
