Do you want plastic, wood, GRP/ carbon or Ali?
Most you see are plastic - tough but heavy, hard to repair. Second hand ones in GC are nearly as expensive as a new GRP one, and new plastic are £££. Many used ones are beaten up, scratched and dented all over.
I've just had a new GRP one made by Apache, much lighter, not as tough as plastic but easy to repair. Much cheaper than a new plastic one. And whatever colour you want.

All depends what you want to spend really.....I was planning on spending low hundreds but could not find anything that wasn't a real mess and/or weighed a ton.

Song of the paddle forum is a good information source.
