Having driven Calm Voyager for many, many miles, in all types of weather, I can only repeat what I've said to many people - she handles excellently in horrid seas.

Superb hull - most impressed.

Fuel consumption? The rough figure I always worked to was 1.2 to the gallon.

Matt mine his F36 same hull but has the KAMD43's 230hp Calm Voyager has 260's I believe.

On trip from Menorca to Del Sol she averaged 19.23 mpg (0.86 gpnm) when doing an average of 22-23 knts.

On one of the rough legs of the journey over 2 hrs at average of 10.5 knts (22nm) she did 11 gph (1.05 gpnm)

Averaged 19.23 mpg at 22 knots. Is that 19.23 miles per gallon? Can I have the name of the person who services your engines please? Do we have a decimal point problem here?

I haven't done so much sea time on current Calm Voyager but logged about 7,000 miles in an F36 in all weathers and about 3,000 in an F37 (same hull, slightly different superstructure but seem to handle the same). Boat handles very well when the going gets less than comfortable, not least because it manages to plane right down to around 13.5-14 knots if you give it bucket loads of trim tab. I've also made it work okay right off the plane when needs dictate...the rudders bite well even at low speed.

From about 18 knots up the boat trims itself, more often than not and 22 knots is a comfortable pace for fair to average seas; 25 knots fun in the flat. We have had 44s in all of the boats up to the current one (300s) and they give very good low-down acceleration, so that helps as well in poor sea conditions when you sometimes need to play the throttles substantially if trying to keep passage time to a minimum.

Hope that helps.
