I recently went onto a web site which someone mentioned on here and tried to view a clip.
Couldnt view and got a message saying lower you IE6 security options to medium.
Anyay not only did I still not view it but, henceforth my IE6 will not even let me log on to Yahoo
let alone my secure bank bits.
Went to internet options in IE6 "security" to tried to reset, but the two options default
or custom are both greyed out.
Run a virus check no results. Then think I know upgrade from Win98 to Win 2000 maybe the
reloading of IE6 will cure. It does'nt. I'm back to using an old version of Netscape now
and cant get onto me bank site. Any ideas buffs?

Internet Explorer can be very annoying. Try Control panel -> add remove programs -> Internet explorer. You should get option to repair. If that doesn't work try remove then reinstall. if that doesn't work make sure latest service pack for internet explorer installed. Try windows update for all possible useful updates.
All else fails, join one of the IT forums like www.tek-tips.com or
www.experts-exchange.com. They an unfathomable resource much like this forum.

G'day Sun-Coast,

It sounds like IE6 is your problem, if the above don't get you back to banking, try re-loading the 128 bit security, it's required for banking and also for many "Secure" sites.

Let's know how you go.
