Calculating Paint Needed

Hi,

After weeks (months!!) of sanding and finishing the topsides and deck of my GRP folkboat variant, 26' loa with similar lines to an International Folkboat (IF) I'm finally ready for spraying on undercoat and hopefully get the boat back to one colour once again!

Can anyone suggest n estimate for the amount of paint required for such a job, or approximate area of the hull (above the waterline only) including deck, coaming etc.. of such a boat.

Well, the area is not going to be too different from length X beam X height of roof above waterline. That's probably an over-estimate, but will give you somewhere to start.

I have not looked this year but normally in the chandelries about now International and Blakes have booklets with all their paints in and charts of how much you will need
