Calais to Coruña

Next July three friends and I are going to do a trip, from Calais to Coruña (finisterre). I need advices, information and all usefull things for a good and safe trip.

here's a couple of tips.

the tide round ushant is a lot stronger than the tidal atlasses say so don't go round against a foul tide.

at la coruna, pick up a buoy in the inner harbour if you can. the pontoon berths are v expensive and the anchorage outside is deep. don't forget that you'll need to fill in a form at the yacht club for spanish beurocracy and the fuel dock doesn't take plastic.

There are 2 'Club Nautico's' near the harbour wall, with pontoon's which look scruffy, but are ok - not too expensive. Depends upon your boat size which one you use. No fuel at the clubs though & you take a tram or taxi into town.

If you are planning to go down through the Chanel du Four, Camaret is a good convenient departure port for crossing Biscay.
