Buying a Sealine 215 envoy

Any hints or tips on what to look out for when buying a secondhand sealine 215 envoy with a volvo 171/290.

Check the engine carefully, 171's commonly have valve gear failures and cam belt problems, an AQ205 V6 with duoprop is definately more desirable in this boat, it will get on the plane quicker and handle better.

Don't do it-buy a Fairline

Also look at a sealine 22 silghtly older but much more room and diesel readily available- bmw & volvo. volvo diesel scarce but very desirable if you can get hold of one. BMWs not as bad as made out to be. Good Luck and enjoy.
