the alarms in my bukh 20 panel are so feeble that they're almost useless.I was thinking of replacing the whole thing with proper buzzers wired directly to the senders. This will probably mean that the standard Bukh panel will have to be discarded and a 3w bulb wired in the field wire. The original setup has a much lower wattage lamp.
Does this make any sense?

Thanks

I fully understand your problem. It's all down to the 'clever?' use of a bit of circuitry which sits under the tag-strip behind the panel. Works fine when new, but corrosion, or failure of one of the sensors, jepodizes the whole set up. (ref also my post on destruction of stop-solenoid because alarm failed).

Have mended and lived with mine up to now, but have had enough. I will develop a much more straightforward circuit shortly and will be happy to share it.

I will be waiting. In the meantime I'm going to check my panel but even if I can get it to work properly I won't keep it.This is an unnecessarily complicated design just begging to go wrong.
