Builders/ CE plate on a 1981 princess 37?

There won't be one as CE did not come in until 1998. There may well be a hull number, probably moulded into the transom, but it may not be in the more recent HIN form. There was no requirement then to have any kind of identification so builders would vary their practice.

Suggest you contact Princess as they will have details of any identification marks they used then.

The hull number on my 1982 Princess 33 was moulded in the upper starboard side of the transom,.immediately below the rubbing band.

Thanks for the advice, I didn't realise that it was such a recent thing. I've read a lot on here regarding them and was getting rather worried that I hadn't come across one on my boat.

Boats coming out the water for some work soon, so expect more questions on a daily basis!

The hull number on my 1982 Princess 33 was moulded in the upper starboard side of the transom,.immediately below the rubbing band.

Mine was too. I seem to remember it was also on a plate riveted on the helm consol and written in crayon on most of the drawer bases.

Princess 30 DS 1981 on starboard side of transom under rubbing strip. Also Princess were very helpfull in sending me copies of original bill of sale,order builders certificates engine installation report etc (very intresting if a bit geeky)
