Budget boat to escape the apocalypse

OK. I am just getting divorced and worrying about my business going bust! So when I have nearly nothing left I need to sail off into the sunset (btw this is a bit tongue in cheek before you ring samaritans on my behalf.....)

So the budget is not very much. Let's say 30k and see if this can be done. Your criteria are:

About 32-35 feet. Small as possible. But I am a bit of a scaredy cat so mid Atlantic I don't want it to be too small! So safety first.
Not too smelly. But I suppose I can deep clean and replace the cushions. But that will have to be budgeted for. How much effort is it to get a manky Sadler 32 and stop it smelling??!!
Simple. No lift keel or any malarkey like that.
Needs to be a sound hull and rudder. No sinking.

So essential offshore gear:
Self steering.
AIS and/or radar? To avoid getting run down if i am single handing?
Nav gear can be 8 hand held gps's and hundreds of aa batteries and an ipad and some paper charts! (obviously I will cheat and have either iridium go or inreach or something for internet weather for passages as I am a wimp)
New standing rigging. Don't want the mast to fall down.
Is that it?

OK so looks to me like refit is 10k!!! Ahahahahaha. You laugh. But Shane Acton spent less.

So boat listing at 30k. Buying it for 20k half way through the apolcalypse.

If anyone wants to come with me they are welcome to apply for video interviews................................>!!

I am really only posting this to avert my attention for a few minutes from the doom and gloom. I sold my boat last year which now seems like a mistake.........................!!
If you have £30k you could have my Seahawk 34 and some change.

Off-topic, but that Vega in Italy looks lovely - don't suppose anyone has recently bought a boat in Italy as a Brit? :)

OK. Now for something completely different. I was very tempted by this a while ago - sadly I see it has now sold; not surprised at that price.

A Bepox 850 - similar idea to a Pogo 850 in plywood epoxy, but half the price of a Pogo. Smaller in length than the OP's idea, but decent volumes. Advantage; quite a recent boat which looks in pretty good order. Maybe too spartan for some tastes, but French people sail these sort of boats all over. A Bepox 9,99 won the last transquadra.

Very nice! I really like the outboard. Saves a lot of space and weight and expense.
