Re: The plant pot
Well then.........first I wont hold my breath but you may hold yours. It will give me more incentive to finish sooner
.
When I got it i planned on a 12 moth project...until i got it home that is and then at least double that after I started to clean it back and now I have looked over the hull ( BWL ) dam scary is all i will say for the minute.
I as most double or tripe these projects on time to completion and I am so glad i did. Things would of been a lot closer if it wasnt for a few hold ups like that darn leak in the cabin and me changing plans as i go. Not to mention boat fund being reduced due to work hours dropped.
At first I was going to get it on the water then fit it out, that does not work though, been there and done that.
Let see what has to be done to as complete as it can be ready for proper use.
1 Little wiring for gunnel lights
2 Bow needs insulating and lining and small cabin top area.
3 Fit cooker water heater and cabin heater.
4 Fit Gas lines and hot water pipe.
5 Build berth frame work and cupboard
6 Batteries and Wiring to be all connected up, cabin lights, Nav lights etc.
7 Clad interior and Heads.
8 Fettle the below waterline of hull.
9 More stern cleats and lower strakes ( maybe ) Paint.
10 Rear deck area to be finished as in clad sides and a few bits.
11 Fit steering and engine
That is roughly in order what needs doing.
Its doesnt look much but it is time and funds now. I have the engine which is a bonus but no trailer as yet.
If i was to say when it will be ready...............shall I temp fate..............nah
If I give a finish time do I win the Million Dollars
Nice of you to say so ( best topics ) but i do hope to get it done this year.....oh see you jinxed it now.
The next one will be a much bigger boat. I am seeing if i can get a 30-35 footer down the side of the house for a good long term project.
(By the way SWMBO said to tell you where to go with mentioning another project lol ) Me I love the idea
Wayne
Dare I ask when you think you might get this boat out on the water. Or is that the million dollar question

Hopefully, it will be a while off yet, sorry Wayne. As one of the best topics on this site will end once he drives off into the sunset.
Perhaps we should find Wayne another "plant pot" for when this one is completed :encouragement:.
