broken drill bit - how do I get it out?

Someone just asked a question about the screw extractor I illustrated in Post #8 but that post and my reply to it have disappeared.

Anyway, if he repeats the question i will try to answer it.

I used to use epoxy as a glue until I discovered moisture activated Gorilla glue. (£3.99 for 60ml from Aldi)

Polyurethane Resin Glue is the generic version ... and you can buy BIG bottles for same price as the small Gorilla Glue version.

I know, I know but it doesn't keep.

Having thrown away larger bottles of it I find it more cost-effective to buy small amounts. I don't use much of it.

Wrap it in cling film and store it in your fridge, the same as sikaflex.

I tried that but my wife mistook it for honey and mixed it with her muesli.

She couldn't open her mouth for a week.

If you still need to get it out rather than sealing it in to go rusty, use an EASY OUT it is the most professional way.

I can assure you that I didn't leave the drill in the hole!
I took the photograph to illustrate how well the coring drill had worked, the core just pulled out with some needle nose pliers.
The hole is now filled with a mixture of micro fibre and epoxy, in the morning I'll have another go at refitting the hinges, trying not to break the drill!

I liked the idea of making a tool out of SS brake pipe, that's a neat idea, I'd have had a go, but I'd nothing that small in the garage, and getting a short length of, say 6mm pipe would be quite difficult just now.

How is that going to work? To use an Easy Out you need to drill a hole. In another drill? A 3 mm one?
