Quite correct, and I still refuse to make any personal contribution to the appeal while we have so many needy charities in this country that are being ignored or are under subscribed.

WRONG!
I do have a problem giving to third world countries to the levels that funds are being bled from the british public when we have so many "local" charities in need. Neither can I get caught up in the "mass hysteria" and "knee jerk" reactions of the brainwashed masses.
