Anyone doing it in Brighton on the square mile stuff?? Is the service provider called that. I cant remember now. Doh
Does it work and if so what hardware do I need in my old lap top?
For that matter anyone working effectively with wireless broadband at any of the south coast marinas. For any techy types,, keep it simple.

Been there a couple of times in November and it was both working very well and was free. Just needed an 802.11b WiFi adaptor (which is the one most people have - 11Mb/s WiFi).

I didn't have to do anything to get my Mac or my iPaq to work - just turned it on and used it.

Ive used Wireless Lan in airports and hotels, where the cost is usually around 10 Euros (£7). Ive never tried it in a marina because pricing seems to be about 3 times that. Almost cheaper to get a GPRS card, although it wont be as fast
