anyone recommend a place near bray marina to get a decent english breakfast - got the wedding coming up in a few weeks, and want to start the day with a decent breakfast (staying on the boat the night before)?

Obvious answer is the brasserie, although I can't vouch for if they are "decent" as I haven't eaten there in quite a while. Do they even still do breakfasts?

Posh would be Oakley Court Hotel by boat.

Alternative is Squires Garden Centre on the roundabout by Windsor Marina, also by boat and then a short walk.

Enjoy the day

will be by car

dont think the brasserie is open in the mornings - could be wrong (would be ideal if they are) - anyone actually eaten there?

oakley court - actually getting married there, so was not wanting to eat or go there until the service / meal later in the day

Squires - sounds like a good option, anyone tried it?

Monkey Island Hotel?

Squires is ok for a quick boaty breakfast but not the real full english.

There's quite a few B&B's around the Bray area. A bit of hunting around might find you a real gem of a landlady who'd be absolutely made up with the idea of doing you Brekkers on wedding day?

Try a google for B&B Bray etc.

think I would rather a cafe / restaurant venue rather then a b&b. I suppose I could drive into maidenhead way, I think there is a large wetherspoon pub nr the pizza express that might be open.

Bridge House pub in Paley Street (5 mins drive from Marina) opens from 8am for full breakfast. Their lunch/dinner food is good - generous homemade pub-grub - so every reason to think that the breakfast is of similar standard.

Katy

p.s. if we don't bump in to you on the pontoon in the meantime, all the very best for your upcoming nuptials.

thanks for the tip lazy days

by the way, have you been down to your boat in the last few weeks, nothing to worry about, but there is an invite for you two which I slipped onto your boat.

Breakfast

Only 2 places worth consideration. Blue river cafe at Maidenhead bridge
or hawthorn hill golf club, in that order. Of course if you fancy a stroll you could
see if monkey island hotel would oblige. A little run down, but last time I are there
food was good. Congratulations by the way
