Bow roller wheel source

I have no problem with the date of thread: the subject is worth bringing up , and it has resurrected the idea of laminating HDPE for other shipboard items.

I'm just rather impressed that my posts have such longevity!

I can't remember from where I sourced the rollers that I have but I can report that they are still going strong eight years on!

...and Brent Swain, who resurrected the thread, has reminded everybody that Brent Swain (of Origami Boats fame) made custom rollers nearly a decade ago!:encouragement:
Can you custom make plugs as well?;)

Reopening this conversation.
Anyone know where I can get an XL (diameter) roller. My anchor touches the gelcoat, so I am thinking a larger roller diameter would pull it away enough.
Current one is approx 80mm by 4.5mm, probably need 100mm'ish diameter, but cannot find anything out there.

You can increase the diameter of the central part which will move the anchor forward when stowed. However you still need enough depth for the chain and stock to run in, and of course the shank will sit higher which may cause a problem with clearance under the hoop. If you have one made you can specify the dimensions you want.

But have you got the correct anchor? ?
I don't know.. It came with the boat, does what I need it to do, and I only anchor around the solent during the day, and in very sheltered areas. I could go smaller, or change the style, but seems a lot of money if there is a simpler fix.
