20 hours of scraping, "Strippit-ing" and sanding has got me to the stage of filling dings, dents and gouges. I'm knackered.
Sanded a bit too much in places, so gelcoat very thin there.
Then a chap suggests I should paint on 6 coats of Gelshield (circa £550), before a/f.
I'm wondering if it's all worth it on 30+year old boat and a 65 year old sailor!
I feel for you at the stage you are.

Another bonus never discussed, is that it's hard not to pass a husband and wife scraping and painting the bottom of their boat without having a smug grin.
My newly coppercoated boat has been back in the water for 2 days and i wondered what that feeling was

I really hope our coppercoat stays on and I become one of those people!
