I always thought that grid compasses were the work of the devil
I have to admit that I've scarcely used one, but I seem to read them 180 degrees wrong. It's a matter of what you are used to I suppose.I'm intrigued!
I had a Bosun grid compass on my Corribee, back in the early 80's.
I loved it: found it really easy to steer a compass course with.

I'm looking for a mounting bracket for a Bosun/Sowester Compass like the one in this photo.
I inherited this compass from my Dad who has long since sold the boat we used the compass on. If anyone has one they no longer use please let me know.
