Bolt croppers / wire cutters

YM November 2002 had a review on these and the Clarke International wire cutters came out best budget buy.

Does anyone know where I can get hold of a pair of these, I haven't found anyone who stocks them.

And has anyone any experience of actually using bolt croppers or cable cutters to cut rigging or other bits of boat?

i used to splice my own rigging. i reckoned i could cope with up to about 7mm galvanised 7x7 using a 2ft pair of cutters. i wouldn't want to tackle more than 6mm in 1x19 s/s. i have seen demos of the 'shroud shooter' which uses a blank cartridge to drive the jaws (like an industrial nail gun). it works, but at a price.
