Boatone is feeling p*ss*d off .....

Oh dear, oh dear - quite unlike you, Uncle Tone, to be anything offed - so please tell all.

Sun's out and the river's in flood?
Ditto and there's mud everywhere?
Boaters not joining TMBA?
Car broken?
Camera(s) ditto??

At least you haven't been flooded out of your home and needed to go and rent a new one.

Absolutely right, Gavi, and I feel for you and others here in the same situation.

Nor am I bemoaning my lot. True, I haven't been able to access the boat but I know it is safe. Nor am I distressed at being unable to get out on the river, I rarely do at this time of the year.

Don't worry Tony, we all went through it when we reached puberty. It will pass as you get older and your hormones stop racing.

I think Snow Cat's "hugs" were intended for Gavi - and quite rightly too ! :D

Yes, thank you snowcat. Our floor is buggered but I have secured short and long term alternative accommodation. The house is a smelly mess. Must say that the insurance company has been brilliant. E demand for house lets is huge and I was lucky to have a friend about to go boating for a year....

Can anything be done long term to protect house or is it just a case of crossing your fingers .Really do wish you a smooth and stressless path back to a dry home Gavi.

I have some people coming around on Friday and we will discuss "tanking" the floor and lower walls.
