How has the lockdown restrictions affected your boating ?
Have you been able to go out ?
My boat is still on the hard, on it's trailer.
I have a 23'0" Mako centre console with twin 85hp (aged) Yahama 2-stroke outboards.
My son wishes to replace some parts.
So a tale of woe. ?
There you have it, the complete farcical bureaucratic Governmental run-around and merry-go-round.
One of the benefits of a British Colonial heritage*. ?
* Seems that we kept the bad bits and threw away the good.
Postscript: Discovered verbally that there is no duty free on electrical parts for engines, BUT engine (which include these parts) are eligible ?

As a Licensed Fisher, on the 29th of March, I applied for a Duty Free concession for parts for the boat.
I was advised that I would have to go to the Ministry of Finance to get the response.
I visited the Ministry of Finance twice. No letter.
Subsequently called the Ministry of Finance.
Advised, by Mr Redacted, that the letter would be addressed by Tuesday 27th April.
I gave them time.
On Thursday 29th April called Ministry of Finance.
A month, to the day, later than the application was made.
Advised that the letter had been sent to the Ministry of Agriculture.
Called the Ministry of Agriculture and was advised that the letter had been sent earlier that week by courier to Department of Marine Resources.
Called Department of Marine Resources. The lady that answered said that Mr Redacted was dealing with it, but he wasn't available.
Called just before noon and managed to speak to Mr Redacted.
Mr Redacted advised that : No it was not him dealing with it, but that I would have to speak to the Director Mr Redacted.
Unfortunately I could not speak to the Director as the Department of Marine Resources was closed that afternoon.
There were also several enquiring emails sent.
On the morning of May 4th, I called Department of Marine Resources several times to contact the Director. The 467-Redacted number does not work.
Finally on 465-Redacted, I was advised that Mr Redacted says that I should contact the Ministry of Finance.
Called Ministry of Finance. Advised letter was sent to the Ministry of Agriculture. . . . . . . Here we go again.
