I have to move a boat in August from Rochester to Cornwall and i was hoping to here from anyone who has had a move recently and can recommend any transport companys.

Can't remember their name but if you are lucky enough to get a returning trip is quite cheap (the company is N.Wales) moved our 32' Ipswich to Cardiff £400.

Maybe if he returns your phone calls. After several attempts to get a quote, leaving messages and speaking to his wife who promised he would phone back I still got nothing.

I won't be bothering again should the need arise in the future.

OTOH, David Wolff was completely the opposite, couldn't have asked for anymore help. He too will try and do a deal and coincide it with a return trip. http://www.boattransportation.co.uk/

I did for Jedi, they went to the wrong yard and left me £275 poorer. Didn't check the route first. Had they done so I'd have gone to a different yard in the first place. But even with that extra they were usefully cheaper than other quotes. Get a retun trip if you can.

NB, Peters use Interboat and charge an admin fee, deal direct.
