Boat Show/Corvette 32

We had a brilliant weekend, good food and accomodation etc,
We had a look around a couple of the big boats Trader were very helpful and spent time with us although we had made it plain that at this time the price was a tad out of range!!! We didn't bother with Fairline or Princess due to the way we were spoken to at SBS last year.The biggest disappointment was with the Corvette 32, the look of the boat really impressed me and Debbie liked the interior layout.A good safety aspect on deck that I liked was all round guard rails I think they are necessary especially with kids.t But then the Manufacturers blew the whole overall first impression away, by fitting cheap ,nasty, uncomfotable, and gross looking hard plastic seats on the Flybridge, and very cheap and nasty Flybridge controls!!
For the sake of a couple of hundred pounds more they could have finished the job properly!!!!!!!!!!!
I pointed this out to the Rep on board and I received a very non interested , non verbal response I wonder if that was indicative of the company ethos,or whether he needs to re assess his career options!!!!!!!
Shame really as it is potentially a nice boat.
All in all a good weekend.

I've been lusting after a Corvette for my next boat and had a look at SBS.

The big drawback for me was the single pilothouse door on the opposite side to the helm. I couldn't see how you could get from the helm to handle mooring lines sharpish, if single handed.

As in your case the salesperson didn't seem enthusiastic about changing anything.

A nice hull though, I've watched a few at sea out of the Dart and always been impressed.

At the show on thursday/friday. Very impressed with the new ExCeL centre.

The rep's that I met on the stands were very friendly and helpful with the exception of the Fairline rep. It put me off going on the Princess stand. The people that I met on the Boat Showrooms of London stand were very helpful.

I liked the Corvette in it's layout and design and this was one of the boats that impressed me most.
Another boat that I thought was well engineered is the INTERMARE 42. It seemed to be well priced against it's competitors.

Finally, I toured the navy ship and found it interesting with the crew on standby to answer questions. I was suprised to find out that this ship is only approx ten years old and is now going for a total refit.

If you are over Neyland way, my mate has a Corvette.I think they are wonderful, not the sleekest looking but huge amounts of space and very practical.

I too like the Corvette 32, and could live with the "minor" problems you identified. I left the boat show thinking about three boats that impressed me, Corvette 32, Nimbus 320 and the Aquador 28. If I could afford it, the Corvette would be on order right now, it is a boat I hope to own at some point.
