Boat Name

Kerouise is growing on me now that I can actually pronouce it without loosing my teeth!

Also take Jim's point regarding the original owner / builder from whom I am buying the boat, he seems a really nice 'old' boy who like most of us is sad to see his pride and joy go.

I have promised him I'll look after her well and in doing the Azores Challenge achieve part of his dream which was to complete an OSTAR in her - no pressure then!!

You get used to it, trust me. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I like Karouise, although Fencer is good too.

Use to have Dawn Wind of Kirribilli, and now Croix des Gardes, try getting marina or coast guard to get them right first hit!

Must admit I like Karouise, but the down side of it is when using it on VHF you are more likely to have to clarify it more than once as it's out of the ordinary, and that could be a pain after a while. No mistaking Flipper, Full Circle, Morgana, Sixpence or loads of others, but Karouise could cause some confusion. All IMHO of course /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Karouise is good...

How about Dee Dee Lamb Nation?

Sorry, been out in the Barcelona sun too much... and No I'm not watching Chelsea or the Grand Prix!

How about "Spirit of Flipper".

Or as you keep her in Brightlingsea I always thought "Backtonight" would be a good name as it gives you a choice of moorings.

Karouise may need spelling but we had a boat called 'Monkey' and the CG asked for that to be spelled /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Maybe a bit late, but I named my Sabre27 (same designer as Cutlass) "Xiphias" which is the name of the swordfish genus. How about Xiphos -Greek for sword!
