Boat hunting in Greece?

Daft question maybe but what's a AWB and a MAB?

Thanks

Welcome! You will soon get the hang of forumspeak! MAB = Manky Auld Boat - derogatory term for lumpy old early GRP boat with old engine, droopy headlinings, osmosis, leaking windows etc much loved by some and frequently described as "built like a brick privy" - usually cheap as well because lots have survived many years of hard use. AWB = Average White Boat - derogatory term for modern factory built (usually by foreigners), light weight, with wide sterns for big aft cabins, pointy keels, IKEA interiors, lots of windage, considered more appropriate for tying up in marinas and used as weekend cottages. Not so cheap but bought in their thousands (but not necessarily by "real sailors").

Forum populated by supporters of one type or the other leading to lots of (mainly) good natured banter.

Quality- not the response I thought I'd get as I thought its was going to be more of a technical one.

Cheers
