Binding wiper motor

The shaft on the wiper motor is binding and keep tripping out the circuit breaker - is this fixable or am I looking for a new motor?

Assuming it is sticking because of accumulated crud (salt + corrosion + dirt + ...) it should be possible to strip it all down and clean it up. If you are unfortunate and it is sticking because the shaft has got bent then you're probably looking at a new motor.

Another option might be worn bearings allowing the armature to foul the field coils. You might be able to replace the bearings. Probably bronze.
