So I am looking for a small in line pump with flex pipe each end say 15 mm , 12volt to get in nooks an fcrannies

windscreen washer pump and pipes from car breakers yard will get you into all the nooks and crannies , but may be to small on output quantity.

Things like windscreen washer pumps don't tend to suck air very well,
You can get cheap diaphragm pumps on ebay which do suck air and self prime, but small bore pumps are not great with anything but very clean water.
wet vac.
J-cloth on a stick.
Pela.
big syringe.

A diaphragm pump with a really good filter might be an option.

What about a 'Drill pump' or a Pela designed for sucking oil out of engines - but brill at this sort of thing.

I have got a manual pela which does work , but it’s to big to hold pipe and pump

Fit a 1/4 turn valve in the suction line, then you can pump it ahead of positioning the tube.
There is probably some sort of push-valve which would be even easier to use with one hand?
