I am writing a blog about the best sailing blogs and video blogs that are out there at the moment.

It would be easy just to choose my own but I would prefer the readers of Scuttlebutt to choose them to make it more representative.

I will leave it open for a couple of weeks and then put the most voted for sites in a blog with a link to them.

If you do read a website or think one deserves to be voted for can you please suggest it. Hopefully it will also give others an idea of what to read.

The more contributions the better so please add your favourites.

Thanks

Birdvik Bob's is my absolute favourite. Dylan's is second. In both cases that because they avoid dreary "and then ... and then ... and then ... and then ..." accounts of cruising, which is a pretty boring spectator sport and even more tedious in written form, especially when it's in warmer places than I am in.

Search on Key words The Claymore Legacy will do it, about the third or fourth entry. It is not for the faint hearted. Else Twister_Ken can surely help, as he was a major contributor.

Just searched out Birdvic Bob's blog, on reading the above warm recommendations but having not come across it before:

Only read the one entry, a tirade against tourist hired powerboats, which had me in stitches. Have added to my favourites bar to go back and read more when I get time. The man has a definite gift for the written word :)
