Best pubs for sailors around uk?

The Mishnish in Tobermory

Reminded me what real pubs in Ireland used to be like before we went all interior designer fakey. great atmosphere great music - don't go there for a quiet one.
Quandary introduced me to its charms during West Highland Yachting Week - what a spot! Comes complete with shrine to Walter Smith...

The food, atmosphere and view at the Old Forge are all great, the showers were £4, fithly, dirty and mouldy.

Here are a few:
The Ship Inn, Itchenor
White Hart, Hamble, good atmosphere, good food
The Chain Locker, Falmouth
The Shipwrights in Helford, but I haven't been there for a few years
The New inn in Newlyn, or it could be the ship, it's up the hill overlooking the harbour
Turks Head St Agnes,
The New Inn Tresco, great food a few years ago
London Inn, Padstow
Cainbaan Hotel Crinian Canal, good food.
Mish Nish, Tobermory
The Old Inn Carboast Loch Harport, Skye, a good pub, not a great pub, but good showers and laundry facilities, and you'll need them if you're in that part of the world.
The Duisdale hotel, not a pub, but bloody good food, not cheap, but top, top, food.
Kylesku Hotel, again not a "pub" but stunning views and excellent food.
Ramsholt arm, river Deben
Mistly Thorn, good restaurant, not a pub really

There are many more, but that should keep you going for a while:)

Isle of Coll Hotel bar again.
I'm biased....so many happy memories of great times spent in good company there.
Food is excellent too, they've won national awards in recent times.

Waterman's Arms, Bow Creek, off river Dart. Needs good timing and/or ability to dry out.

Do you mean Maltster's arms or are you going further up?

We try to spend a night there once a year. They provide water and electricity though recently the electrics have packed up. It's sometimes a hassle persuading evening visitors in little boats to make room for our monster.

More votes for pubs already mentioned:-
The Mishnish, Tobermory
The Ramsholt Arms, River Deben
The Tigh an Truish, Seil
Also:-
The Galley of Lorne, Ardfern
Hey, I'm getting homesick here.....

The Shipwrights at Helford is accessible by boat..... I like to avoid paying the extortionate rate for tying up my dinghy on the pontoon at the creek entrance and take the dinghy right up to the pub. You can only do that with enough water though as the creek dries out. If you arrive on a flood tide then you should have plenty of time to enjoy some beer and grub. I can only comment that the pastys are good there as I only ever eat a pasty when I go there - It's a ritual :-)
You can also get there by car but once you're ashore and see the roads you'll undersand why a boat is better, in the summer at least.

Your right it's the Maltsters Arms. Couldn't remember the name and Googled the wrong pub!
