Best pubs for sailors around uk?

The Ramsholt Arms on the River Deben, Suffolk! Beautiful spot, ask George Collins the harbour master, if you can pick up a mooring, he's very helpful. The Deben is known as the jewel of Suffolk and I love it there. The Ramsholt serves good food and good ale. Enjoy!

Waterside pubs

Can't comment until you describe the boat - your personal profile doesn't tell us anything useful.

Meanwhile "Out to Lunch" on the Tightwad Sailor website is a starter.

The Ferry Boat Inn at Dittisham.

The Shipwright's Arms at Faversham (though the Landlord is a bit, erm, eccentric)

The Folly at Whippingham - a great yachtsman's pub, but not the place to go if you're seeking peace and quiet.

The Bankes Arms at Studland - anchor there while you still can! :D

Tigh an Truish, by Puilladobhrain. Good pint and great food (avoid weekends).

Old Forge, Inverie, Loch Nevis

Dock Inn

Enjoyed a pint or 2 in the Dock Inn Penzance a week ago . No junk box, No flashing lighted, money machine, shouting feed me, in the corner and no TV ! The leather armchairs were quite comfy infront of 2 blazing ,log... nah no such luck.. artificial coal gas fires

Edit : And there were no shouty yoofs

Borringdon Arms, Turnchapel, Plymouth. Excellent beer and tasty home cooked pub grub at sensible prices.

In Dartmouth, the Cherub, good beers and a great atmosphere.
