Best place to see Grand Prix

HI,

Am thinking of going down to see the race on the Thames on Saturday. Apparantly they cruise from Putney to Tower Bridge and then race from there to the estuary. Anyone been before and got any tips on the best place to watch from?

I have done rescue for the old Putney to Calais power boat race a number of times on the Thames, we were put in by crane at Cherry Garden Pier by Tower Bridge, despite the PLA cleaning the river a number of boats did not venture very far after hitting various debris, in particular after passing under Tower Bridge a Class 2 boat broke off the whole of one of its outdrives after hitting a floating door, took some time to tow him back with a 21 Phantom Ski boat.

That year Gina Campbell took part in Agfa Bluebird a 25 foot Phantom with twin Mercury outboards.

I wish all the competitors well, and hope that the Thames is cleaner than it was, but I doubt it.
